This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time

Didn't get to go thrifting in SF, alas - too far from the mission district to walk in the moments I had "free", and driving was not fun - so I was happy to be able to hit some stores back home today. Struck out at most of them, but found this. The thrift gods are laughing at me, as I made a frustration trade for this a month or so ago to get it for a friend, and while I made a fair deal I wish I hadn't given up on the game I traded. Anyway, still happy I found it today.
$2 Deseret, looks nice and complete, in like-new condition.
Passed on a copy of Bermuda Triangle for $7 at VV, and a few card games for .99 at various GWs.
EDIT: that's weird, the version pic for the English edition isn't English. Hmph.
$15.79 on 50% off clearance with 15% off coupon at Barnes & Noble, Glastonbury CT. It was the only copy left.
Went there yesterday because my kids were off school and they had some gift cards to spend. I was not even thinking I'd see any sale games, so this was a nice surprise. I had never played it before. I started playing it yesterday with my son; later he was busy so my daughter took over for him and we lost. I liked it a lot and hope to play it again soon. Wow those outbreaks can get out of control fast!!
I had to head into town to meet the wife so checked my usual haunts- nothing much in there (although did get a very funny book by Dara O'Briain to read while waiting) I was wandering across to a 'foreign food' shop to have a nose when I saw a shop I hadn't seen before next to it. As I got closer, I realised it was a charity shop. Excellent. Apparently it had been open for a couple of months, it's just a bit tucked away. Plenty of jigsaws on the shelves as you walk in (& a copy of Atmosfear VHS & Home Alone 2). I had a wander to the back & amongst the kid's toys was another pile of games. I spotted a large box behind a table & under a shelf. A bit tricky to get out owing to it's size but I eventually managed it. One look at the front of the box & I was strongly tempted, a quick flip to the back of the box & I was sold.
