To win:

(1) This is open to any BGG member (worldwide) who has a 2011 BGG Patron Badge.

(2) If you want to be in the drawing for one of the games below, give that item a thumb.

(3) Please thumb this geeklist.

(4) Please remember to check for the shipping policy of an item. If you need to pay shipping costs, you would deal directly with the poster of that item.

On 1/1/12, the poster will randomly select a winner from all of the people who thumbed his or her entries. He or she will then confirm that the winner has a 2011 BGG supporter badge. If the winner does not fulfill these criteria, another name will be randomly selected.

------------------------------
To post:

Do you have a game that you do not like or have not been able to trade in a math trade? Is it in good shape or better? Do you have an expansion that you already own or for a game you don't own? Perhaps your collection just needs to be thinned down?

Please put a game you are willing to give away on this list and you might just inspire someone to donate to BGG. BGG is getting better all the time so let's appreciate our admins in a way that they can appreciate!

1) The poster of a game is solely responsible for selecting the winner and shipping the item.

2) Please remember to put shipping information on your post. You don't have to give free worldwide shipping - just be clear on what you are offering.

3) Please do not connect tipping to what you are giving away. For example, for every 10 you will add another item or the tipper will get another thumb. There are already G4GG lotteries here on BGG. That is not the purpose here.

4) Please do not end your item before the new year. I know it is tempting to give away items for Christmas but that is not the mission of this rummage sale. There are already plenty of Christmas-related activities here on BGG.

5) Please make triple-sure that the winner of your item has a 2011 BGG Patron Badge. That is the whole point of this geeklist! We want to reward those who bought a badge and encourage those who haven't gotten one yet to support BGG!

6) I recommend that you use Jeromier's Awesome Tool to select the winner of the lottery. It is very simple to use.

Write with questions and good luck.

Be sure to subscribe to this geeklist because new items will be added daily until the new year!

who will receive 84 bag !

This item is now closed. Winner will be announced before January 3. Thanks for your interest.

thumbsdown Sorry, this is not for the game, but it is BGG-related!

I like to learn about members, from the microbadges they select.

This offer is for new supporters only.

Winner will be randomly selected on or about January 2.

Winner must:

1. Have 2011 supporter badge ONLY (no previous year supporter badge)
2. Have fewer than five (5) microbadges on his/her profile page

Winner will receive:

75 bag + any tips given to this item

(for purchasing microbadges or other purposes)

If no one meets the criteria, I will select a winner from those having 5 or more microbadges, giving preference to those with the fewest number.

Extra:

If the winner does not have an avatar at the time of the selection, I will include an additional 30 bag for that purpose.

Edit and Update:

I won't consider free badges in the counting, only those you had to purchase. Thanks for mentioning that. I am particularly interested in seeing badges that people purchase because they say something about their interests, lifestyle, or personalities.

Well, I have been here pretty much for three days and I am addicted to thumbs. Since I have an extra expansion here that I don't need due a friend who has them all, why not give it away!

This is for the aforementioned Seafarers of Catan 5-6 player expansion! It is still in the original shrink and even includes a bit of dust!

Let's go with free shipping worldwide, to be chosen on January 1st, 2012 and sent on January 7th, 2012 (Christmas had me a little strapped for cash, need to get paid to send these!).

Description shamelessly stolen from entry #269:

Quote:
The winner of this item will receive 1 copy of Frozen Synapse via Steam.

About the game:
Frozen Synapse is the ultimate tactical game on PC and Mac.

It brings the simultaneous turn-based strategy genre bang up-to-date and lets you give detailed, accurate orders to your squad: classic gameplay with a modern interface. Plan your moves, test them out, then hit the "Prime" button: both you and your enemy's turns are executed simultaneously. Competitive-but-intuitive multiplayer and a huge single player campaign mean that Frozen Synapse will give you hours and hours of tactical delight.

Note: This is for 1 copy, it will not include a 2nd free copy as mentioned in the "key features" section on the steam page.

Usual fine print for Steam: you must be able to accept the license agreement and the game must be licensed for sale in your country, however that works. In other words, it isn't my fault if Steam won't let you redeem it.

Howdy! I don't know if any of you folks remember this game from way back - Agricola - but I have a shrink-wrapped German language version of the Z-deck that I'd be happy to send on to folks. You would need one of the following for this to be useful to you (in addition to the base game, of course):
1) Command of the German language
2) Translations to your language - I didn't see one on the deck's site here, but looking through their images, you should be able to at least get translations to Spanish and English
3) A remarkable sense of whimsy and willingness to make up effects

Free universal shipping. $5 toll for each planar rift required to reach you. Offer not valid in Bizarro World. 90ns warranty included. I like disclaimers.

This is for a copy of:
Fireplace DVD: Real Wood Burning Fire (Anamorphic - FullScreen Edition) (2008)

From the Company:
After being disappointed with many of the Fireplace DVDs out on the market that we tested, we were inspired to create a fireplace DVD that:

1. Used a real wood burning fire (not gas).

2. Was lit properly so that the fire didn't overexpose the shot.

3. A fire that filled the entire screen of a wide screen television as well as a regularly formatted TV.

4. Had no cheesy hearths to distract from the fire's magnificence.

5. Allowed the viewer to control what stage of the fire they wanted to see.

We believe that addressing these issues with a professional DVD has allowed us to create the best virtual fireplace available.

There are two basic aspect ratios 16:9 (widescreen) and 4:3 (standard) so look for these while you are searching your DVD player's menu. We shot the DVD in Anamorphic, which will allow it to switch between 16:9 and 4:3 formats without any issues.

If you are getting the black bars at the top and bottom of your TV screen, you will need to access your dvd player's menu (found on the remote). On your DVD player menu there should be an option to change the format (aspect ratio) so that the DVD displays properly on your screen without the black bars. This is how our DVDs are able to play on both widescreen and regularly formatted TVs.

This DVD has been tested in a wide variety of widescreen and standard screen TVs and displays full screen on both TV formats.

Free shipping to the US and Canada. I will ship elsewhere but I am sure they have a regional thing going on with the DVD.

No, it is not for this game.

I am offering a card or a postcard to be sent to you or a person of your choice (I reserve the right to say "No." For example, I will not send a card wishing Charles Manson a Happy Holidays. This needs to be fun for me to do.).

How do you get a card/postcard? Geekmail me an address with a description of who will get the card. Do it today! I am willing to send a card to kids but I need to know their ages and gender so I can send an appropriate kid-friendly message. I will most likely send an age-appropriate CLEAN joke or draw a picture with a cheerful message.

For adults, I will send a more interesting joke. I am not one for blue humor so don't worry. (At least it will not be blatant blue humor.)

This offer will be valid for only a day or two.

(Note: I waited last year to send them out and then only sent a few. That is why I am not going to wait this year. It is better for me to not make a chore for later.)

Cards/postcards will happily be sent worldwide. (As long as I can mail there from the USA).

Note: I may not send an explanation why the card is being sent to the receiver so you better be on hand to explain. Also, feel free to tell me what the person likes. For example, if they are a Dr. Who fan, I might draw a tardis. If they are into eastern philosophy, I might send a card with a Buddha, etc.

This is still good. Just send me your address.

This is not for the game depicted.

I want to give something back to you people, but I've no spare game and very little spare money, but I can give you some of my time.
Almost an year ago I found the lovely community of the BGG Werewolves (well, lovely until they inexplicably choose to lynch you, that is )
This is a way to publicize it.
I'm offering to mod a game of Werewolf for you. If you are an experienced wolf, you choose the roleset and all, and then manage to play in the game you designed (always wanted to play as the Dictator? Now you can!)
If you are a newbie, I help you creating a roleset. You can choose everything about the game, name it after you, add a rule making every other player call you "Your Grace", make it a 50 players game or a 1vs1. Of course I can mod it for you, but I can't guaranteed we'll find enough players to fill it. But unless we get too crazy in designing it I'm pretty sure 10 people will volunteer.
Note that I'm one of the least experienced mods out there.
Also, as soon as the game will be in sign up I'll GM all the thumbers of this GL item asking if they want to play, unless the winner has already chosen the people they want to play with.
I will draw on January, the first, the second or the third.

Free shipping everywhere in the Village.

EDIT: A bit of info about Werewolf:
A standard game of werewolf on BGG usually lasts 1 week every 12 players.
There are usually 2 teams, Good and Evil plus rare Neutrals. Evil players usually know some or all the other Evil players, and every night they kill 1 player. Every day all the players discuss in a thread and kill a player they think is evil. Rinse, repeat, until:
* all Wolves are dead - Good win
* there are as many Wolves as humans - Evil win
Usually at least one Evil player is a human.
It's really simple and fun.
People expect you to post in thread at least three times every game day while you're alive, weekends excluded. If you cannot keep this pace, we can make a slow game with game days lasting up to a week in real life.

And the winner is...

Also stolen from 283 via 269 - I have one spare key for Frozen Synapse to give to someone who can use it!

Neat little game.

This is for a tiny little teenie-weenie gaming surprise package. I can promise that it will contain dice. It will also contain some other strange gaming stuff. Maybe it will contain a small game? My lips are sealed.

My only promise is I will have fun putting it together. I hope you will have fun opening it.

My turn! I've been trying to find something I could offer since I found these wonderful offerings. Inspired by the fact that others are offering trinkets and/or food items, I am going to do the same. In fact, my offering will be similar to Cate's latest regarding a small gaming package.

Due to extreme financial issues, however, I cannot promise that it will be much or even that everything will be brand new. I can promise to include yummy game night recipes, some snacks and goodies, perhaps a print & play game or two, and hopefully some dice or something from my FLGS so that I can support the owner and his wife if I am able to put more money into it. I have no idea what will be inside until I know how much a check will be I'm expecting soon!

I would love to offer free worldwide shipping, but that just isn't feasible. I will send it worldwide, however, if you are willing to pay the postage. The least I can do is spend the extra few minutes at the post office for the forms and such. I'm happy to do that. For the U.S., I will cover the shipping unless it ends up weighing a lot in which case I will give the lucky winner (or winners if I end up doing it twice) the chance to back out and pass it along to the next person on the list.

This is a great opportunity for me (and all of us) to express our heartfelt appreciation to the entire BGG crew and community! I am very grateful for everyone of you.

We have a winner!

CLOSED

So, I also wanted to contribute to the pile of board & card games offered in this Geeklist, but with limited budget, it took me 28 days to come up with something. And then I noticed the great interest in Carcassonne expansions...

What? A opened, but never played copy of the Dutch edition of "The Count of Carcassonne" (containing 1 wooden counteeple(?) & several tiles). (Note that the tiles are language-independent, and English rules for use of the counteeple & tiles can be found on BGG.)

Drawn? Probably on January 2nd. On January 1st, in accordance with
Quote:
On 1/1/12, the poster will randomly select a winner from all of the people who thumbed his or her entries. He or she will then confirm that the winner has a 2011 BGG supporter badge.

Shipping? On me, to anywhere on this globe, as this is a rather small item. I will probably flatten the outer box, and put it with the counteeple and tiles in a padded envelope.

Again, I know it is relatively small in comparison to other offerings, but see it as my attempt to also 'pay back' to (one of) you!

Edit: Updated to reflect change in drawing date in accordance with Cate's suggestion in Geeklist header.
