Well done! Certainly an impressive list of superior games, chronologically ordered to represent the history of Western Civilization. Somewhere between Attika and Capitol (or perhaps substituting for both), I would insert Vinci.

And after Age of Steam, you might insert Heart of Africa, or if you have a lot of time, War! Age of Imperialism or even Colonial Diplomacy.

Advanced Civilization or Civilization the Boardgame may be used to conclude the history. :p

There seems to be a lacuna for the modern era - respresented only by capitalism, not by the great wars (diplomacy?, A&A?), or ideologies (kremlin?).
Beside that, very nice idea.

Here are a few more suggestions:

Successors (The struggle for Alexander's crumbling Empire)
Republic of Rome (a great game!)
Britannia (Early history of Britain)
Kingmaker (War of the Roses)
Age of Renaissance
The Napoleonic Wars
Paths of Glory (WWI)
Third Reich (WWII in Europe)
