Congress of Gamers is a local gaming convention for the Washington, DC-metro area. (About 200 people attended in 2008 and 2009.) It primarily focuses on boardgames, but we also host the De Bellis Vasingtonium DBA Open Tournament (historical miniatures).

We offer a game library, a No Ship Math Trade (facilitated by Boardgame Geek), vendors, Bring and Buy (similar to a flea market), plenty of open gaming, the Euro Caucus (wildcard tourney), and demos. In addition, in 2010, Congress of Gamers is an offical host site for the Rio Grande Game Design Competition.

In 2010, Cog will be Oct. 9-10. We have a new location at the Rockville Senior Center, 1150 Carnation Dr. Rockville, MD 20850. This location will provide more flexible registration, abundant gaming space, free parking, and will allow us to keep our low admission prices. Snacks and drinks will be available on-site and there are many restaurants nearby.
