FlatCon is an annual gaming extravaganza that has been held in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois since the year 2000. It is currently hosted at the Interstate Center in Bloomington on the first weekend of October. Roleplaying games, miniatures, live-action, and board and card games are all represented, in addition to a number of sanctioned tournaments and demos for a wide variety of games. We also have a number of events hosted and sponsored by Gamers for the Cure, a group that raises funds through these activities for donation to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
The convention also features a large area reserved for electronic entertainment such as computer & LAN gaming and console video games, including Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero. There is a dedicated video programming area, showing movies, television shows, and anime throughout the weekend. FlatCon's vendors area hosts merchants carrying products ranging from anime goods to all the games and gaming accessories you would ever need, as well as a number of artists and designers available to provide made-to-order artwork, dice bags, and other items.
This guild is here to provide a point of contact for organizing events at FlatCon, as well as spreading the word about this great convention and answering any questions or concerns people might have about it.
