The Gaming Hooplas are twice yearly (the last weekends in April and September) boardgaming conventions held in Janesville, WI. The move to Janesville was necessary because of rapid growth that became too much for the Como Clubhouse in Lake Geneve to handle.
The Gaming Hooplas are strictly non-profit events, with all proceeds donated to the American Cancer Society through the Knutson Family & Tastefully Simpletuns Relay for Life Teams.
The Gaming Hooplas have scheduled tournaments and "learn to play" sessions, open gaming with the Gen Con Games Library (hosted by Lee Maile) available, guests of honor Tom Wham and James M. Ward, a silent auction, a math trade, on-site food and drink, and door prizes. It also features a charity games raffle with some of the hottest (by BGG rank) games available for attendees to win, as well as The GameBoard from Sheboygan, WI on site so attendees can purchase games.
