If you play AGoT LCG or are interested in trying it, there's a group of players that meet at Neutral Ground in Manhattan. Typically the group meets a couple times of month and, unfortunately, NG's calender is not always correct about which night a given meet up is happening. Obviously I'm biased, but I think the players are friendly, helpful, and good sports. If you're possibly interested in joining in or just learning about the game, send me a geekmail (or email to: letsgored@hotmail.com).

BTW, AGoT has been transformed from the traditional CCG format to what FFG is calling LCG ("Living Card Game"), which is intended to preserve the positives of CCGs (customizable, variety of strategies, constantly evolving play) while mitigating the negatives (sinking money and time into blind CCG booster pack purchases and chasing after rare cards). I find myself, inexplicably, without any work today and thought there might be some players out there interested in getting together for a game of Condottiere (http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/condottiere.html) which is an easy to learn, quick, and very fun group game.

I also have Twilight Imperium but certainly a much longer game.

A friend and I are looking for a few people to play the Harry Potter collectible card game, which we recently discovered. Among its many virtues:

(a) HP has been discontinued, which, owing to overproduction, (inexplicably) limited demand and certain cardinal laws of economics, has rendered the base set and most expansions dirt cheap.

(b) HP employs (relatively) straightforward rules.

(c) The universe of HP cards is remarkably rich, yet not overwhelming.

Well, our Heroscape league (LI Heroscapers) is on Long Island, but has at least one member who lived in Brooklyn until just recently. I have been going to the meetups in Manhattan at Neutral Ground but I would prefer to find something in the mentioned boros as I work in Brooklyn and live in Queens. I'm also particularly interested in meeting some HeroScape players. I'm thinking of buying into the game but I would like to play it first before I invest any money into it.

Neutral Ground is moving! Neutral Ground will be closing its doors for the last time on 122 West 26th Street this Sunday, September 30th. We will re-open in two weeks, on Friday, October 12th, at our new location:

Our new home is bigger and better. For the 2 weeks we're closed we'll be creating an all new Neutral Ground, one with improved gaming space, additional retail offerings, CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING, and SO MUCH MORE!
Between October 1st and 12th you'll be able to check out pics of the improvements we're making on the new Neutral Ground. In addition, we'll be posting Lorwyn articles to get you ready for the first FNM and release event for our opening weekend.

This week is your last chance to visit our current space. Get your last drafts in, reminisce of the hot summer days, and pick up all the stuff we have on sale! Because after this week, 122 will be in the past, and Neutral Ground will be taking you to the future of gaming!

Note that this means that the "First Thursday" meeting of the Meetup.com Boardgame group on Thursday, October 4th is canceled. We will be meeting in the new space on Thursday, October 18th.
