Oh jeez Mr DeBonis, you're right! What was I thinking? Much too normal looking. Not nearly trashy looking enough. If she were sluttier looking like Magic girl, or Christina Aquilera or Pam Anderson, then we might have something. I'l delete her from my screen immediately, and find some scuzzy looking "model" that is the rage with all the non geeks of the world.

I too am a bit stunned at the amount of attention this one is getting. While I wouldn't call her a dweeb (I don't know her) I would say that the people that think she's sooo hot need to look around. There are plenty of attractive women to see in everyday life (assuming you get out of the house and don't just stare at the ground).

Next time you guys see one that looks as good as this one (Peach?) ask her to pose with a game (keep a Microgame or something with you) and tell her it's to impress all the BoardGameGeeks. That's your 'in'. Hell - just keep some dice or playing pieces in your pocket and ask her to reach in and grab one while you video the action. I can see it now: "Oh - that's just a Jenga piece that seems to have gotten caught on some string - just tug it a bit - be gentle..."

Peach,

I agree many of the posters here are immature, but thats just the demograph of most of the internet I'm afraid. I don't think anyone here was trying to be offensive though, however a few comments might have been in unintentional bad taste. Routes to fixing this problem is to ask the admins to remove the picture or the entire thread.

If people are harassing you via any other means I highly recommend you report them to the admins, who I'm sure will deal harshly with the offenders. If this thread is the only thing that offends you it's a shame you are judgeing the site based on the bad taste of a few members.

For the record I've never recommended this picture, nor commented upon it.

Are you kidding? A picture of a female on this site can get more "thumbs up" than the rest of the pictures for a game combined. Hell, you could run a pay site of just pictures like this and never need to work again.

It's a good photo, especially for a self portrait, but there no WAY it's better than the playing Carcassonne in Carcassonne! Which has both a better game a cute girl (for those that have that as a criteria) and it's just cool.

Assuming your hotlinked picture is of the cartoon Belle & Sebastian, the band named themselves after the characters, after getting permission from the original author.

The Cartoon is "Belle and SebastiEn" [at least in Italy, maybe it was translated in canada], while the Scotch band is "Belle and SebastiAn". Both came from the novel

It appears that Sebastian is the English translastion of Sebastien.

Dude, I think you're going to have to do better than foul-mouthed flattery if you want the Mrs* to unlock the door after your behavior last night. I mean, she seemed pretty upset, you know? Frankly, I can't blame her (much). Sure, I know what those little plaid Catholic schoolgirl skirts can do to a guy, but you really should have stopped after the second bottle of Scotch - and I know you noticed at least some of her warning signals (my shins are are still sore from when she missed you and kicked me by mistake).

Really. Just sober up and buy her some flowers, ok? Sheesh! shake

*I know, I know.. she deserves better..

I say the girl is cute. What's wrong whith saying someone is good looking? I have a girlfriend, I go out a lot and still I think this is a great picture. If Miss Magic can get some 450 thumbs up just for cleavage, then Miss Lost Cities should get at least a thousand for being a beauty.
I also like the pile of games in the background.

This is one of the most memorable pictures in the BGG. The composition of the picture is nice. The background full of games is appealing to a gamer like myself. It's like the picture was asking "Do you want to play?". Promising that we'd start with Lost Cities and then discover other delights of boardgames. I think that the eyes are the most beautiful part of women. When there is nothing more to see, the picture focuses on the eyes. It makes the picture really intriguing.

Geekmodding has it's flaws. Exceptional or unordinary pictures that I'd like to see don't get sometimes through. It's rather daunting. But I can't complain because I don't know how to perfect the geekmod system. Maybe the artistic and unordinary pictures should use another door to the Geek. So that people who are not into artistic pictures wouldn't have to approve them. Sometimes it's difficult know if the picture is artistic or just plainly flawed. Art is a controversial subject anyway.

I'd really like to see more pictures by you Ms. (or Mrs.?) Peach. I chose you as the Board Girl of December in my blog lauta.laif.fi. I hope that you are not offended.
