These are even better than I anticipated. Great job on the artwork.

I agree, these look great. The only change I'd make is to have the background symbol (the star or cross) be orthogonal in the counter rather than slightly off-kilter.

Cheers,

I think they really look good the way they are. The slight angle gives it style...

Lee, they look great, but I would drop the background nationality symbol as maybe too busy.

I think they look great with the background symbol as is.

The off-kilter look is very distinctive and a game as distinctive as this deserves a distinctive look.

Well done Lee!

I've always liked the "slightly rotated" look, and I don't feel it makes them too busy. Just the right artistic flair without messing things up.

Now if only they'll put a huge dot right in the middle of every hex I'll be happy!

Excellent design! Who says a wargame can't have style? Love the subtle background and slightly skewed angle. The production value on this game is looking great. I can't wait!

They are 5/8" counters, so in the sample you are viewing them at 300% size.

The unit counters will be 5/8" and the weapon counters 1/2".

I am also very pleased with where Lee has taken my original concept for the counters.

Map sample coming soon....

Great counters, and here's why:

Very nice detail, but without being cluttered. They are wonderfully clean.

And the color contrast looks good too.

And all of the preliminary graphics (even the play-test materials) have this "beautiful but clean" look.

For me, and perhaps others with aging eyes, or those with some form of "color blindness", I cannot emphasize how important these characteristics are to me in enjoying a game. Even when I was younger and my eyes were still sharp, working with counters or hexes or charts which were too small, or too busy, or had poor color contrast caused me lots of vexation.
