On my Scandinavic Enigma-published box has the robber run awway and hidden himself in the shrubbery to the left and in his place s alomond-eyed woman with a bowl of fruit. She is seen on http://www.boardgamegeek.com/image/129805.
It looks just like every other Carcassonne box I've ever seen... :-/ -Zach
Actually there is, quite clearly, a Hans im Gluck logo where the Rio Grande logo sits on the UK version. This is a distinction you missed and is of immense interest to the Carcassonne academic.
I appreciate that the box shows you the four types of workers you can use (knight, thief, monk, farmer). I don't appreciate adding the random woman to the cover. I imagine that the intent was probably to make the game more approachable to women, but replacing the thief kind of ruins the theme. Who is this woman? Does she score points? Maybe she IS a thief just looking to pickpocket that knight.
