This is quite a poor position as there are 4 empty tiles as well as 2 ships and Vikings waiting at the home base for redeployment. It's not from a real game and is only meant to show how a player's position develops in laying tiles. In general, placing Vikings on tiles is better than placing them on the home base, and throwing tiles away should be avoided if at all possible.
