I hate shuffling! Homemade tiles and player boards.

Using the artwork from my copy of Roborally, I created tiles for movement instead of having cards to shuffle every round. Just toss them in the bag and give them a shake!

I got the idea for the updated player boards from the 10 Days series and made them from a piece of 1x3 pine. The slot will hold 9 tiles, which can be slid back and forth to allow a player to easily set up a program without having to hold all the tiles in hand.

I had to redo the damage counters so that they would sit in the track. That way they clearly show how many tiles you get or which ones are locked due to damage (as shown in the picture).

I also included holes and pegs for tracking how many flags a player has touched.

That's a pretty funky player board. Nice!

You might need one or two more tile capacity for someone who has Options that give them extra Program Cards in hand.

I know it's anathema to most gamers, but in Roborally you barely have to shuffle at all. Cards laid out in a program are not strongly biased in structure... you are as likely to see strings of turn cards, strings of move cards, or a mix... so the cards back into the deck are fairly chaotic to start with. Just one or two quick shuffles and deal them around... nobody will know what anyone has, and the mix is effectively unbiased random.
