Really nice work!!!

Quick questions on your dice container/box, there's 3 "openings", upper right with your dices, big one for you rolls but what is the upper left one for?

Also, what is the 2 little figures on the card container? thk!

Salut Frédéric,

The third space is for lore tokens. Actually, these dice boxes where originely built for playing other RPGs, namely Stormbringer/Elric, thus the reason why there is a chaos symbol in the center of them.

The dice boxes in there original setting:
http://www.mvdzign.com/youngkingdoms/images/gamepieces.jpg

As for the spaces with the wizard miniatures in them, they (could) represent the players themselves, or the wizards casting the spells, or eventual heroes that may be brought into the game. I have no actual rules for these yet. I just had those leftover spaces to work with after laying out my "player turn/token" setup: The flag stand slides left or right (thowards one or the other player) on top of the card holder, indicating who's turn it is. We (me and my boys) sometimes play a game over a couple of days and it's become easier knowing who's turn it is thanks to this contraption (plus it's just another way to justify the use of foamcore again ;-))

Salutations,

Max ;-)

This is fantastic Maxime!

I really love the idea of the deck 'dispensers'. I'm thinking of doing one with a spot for the Lore pool (probably instead of the banners). By any chance do you have a template that you would be willing to share for that?

Can I ask what the banners are there for? I'm intrigued.

Your work is really inspirational and has influenced my decision on storage. I'm creating three different 'draws'.

* One that holds 30 foot units
* One that holds 24 mounted units
* One that holds waaay more creatures than we have yet

Made out of... black foamcore, what else?

Thanks for the inspiration mate!

Ben.

Dear Mr. Maxime,

I am a 32 year old Australian male, but seriously I am not to old to be adopted. I would mow your lawns and take out the garbage and I would play games with you whenever you wanted to.

Signed,

You are a Genius!

Thanks everyone. Glad you like the setup.

Some answers:

The scenery is a panoramic shot I bought on iStockphoto.com. Here's the link to the image:

http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/object/3880565_mount...

Once I downloaded the file (be sure to get the 2mb file for good resolution = 5 credits / approx. 5$), I scaled and set it up in Photoshop so that I could print and tile = 4 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 taped together horizontally. The printable area is actually 8x10 so once the prints where done, I trimed away the white all around and lined up the sheets so that the edges of the image would line up, thus recreating the panoramic view. I then taped the montage on the wall behind my BattleLore set up as seen in the photo above.

PS: I would have uploaded my file directly on BGG but copyright laws prohibit my in doing so.

I'm almost done with a schematic of my card holder. I'll post the link here shortly. Hope you like...
