I love maps of North Africa!

Me too. And this is one of the nicest, if not the nicest, North Africa map to date.

Mark has moved up the ranks very quickly to become one of the most talented game map artists in the world. I look forward to seeing much more of his work in the years to come.

Sorry, but I have to disagree on the visual appeal of the map. The Med Sea portion looks great, but the land portion is, to be honest, not the best graphical representation of the North Afrcan topography that I've seen, in my opinion. Very harsh and visually unappealing, much like the Avalanche Press or the old Gamers' maps. Reduce the glaringly crude escarpment lines (or whatever they are).

Otherwise, I think the game will be an fresh and exciting variation on an old, familiar subject and look forward to it's release.
