This is a photo of the Dice Tower I designed out of a single piece of card stock. As with any good game or game accessory, I have also created an expansion for the Dice Tower, the pictured single page Dice Catcher.
The plans for the tower (ver. 1.0) are awaiting approval. I have slightly modified it since submitting and will upload the revision as well as the expansion once the original is approved.
No tape was used or is necessary for this project.

Version 1.0 of the tower is now available: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/file/info/34099 and I have submitted the revised version of both the tower and the expansion (The Single Page Dice Catcher).
Enjoy!

Wow! Do the admins have nothing to do today?!?!?
Version 1.1 of both the tower AND the expansion are up!!!
Good job! I might just have my (childrens) game group having a go at making those in the new term. They love using dice towers for Pirates Cove, Heroscape, Yspahan, and even Settlers of Catan.
Went straight out and bought 2 thick cardstock sheets, came back home, printed it out and went for it. Came out looking great.
It really helps if you have a Stanley knife or something similiar to do the slots, but where there is a will there is a way
My only mistake was that I must have created the dice tower in reverse - because the name of the dice tower isnt showing at the front. Perhaps include instructions on which way to fold the front section so you still get the credit...
I didn't use quarters, I just printed out the expansion and it works a charm. The original tower was pretty good on its own, but I found sometimes my dice jumped out. The expansion fixed all that and I couldn't be happier. Many thanks!
This is also my first dice tower, and I love it! I couldn't wait for heavy stock so I built mine from stiff resume paper, works like a charm. Thanks for the post and especially for the picture which drew my attention in the first place.
I was not specific for just that purpose. If people didn't want the title showing, they could build it so it wouldn't. They can also fold the dice catcher in reverse so the description shows on the outside or the inside.
That having been said, I am looking into having these printed, pre-cut and pre-scored on heavy card stock so that it would be possible to just break them apart, fold and assemble on the fly. Then you could just bring a dice tower with you on a trip by thowing the two pieces in their flat paper shaped state in a game box and away you would go. They would also be recyclable, and I would try to make them so that they are really reasonable (If I can get away with it, 5 towers in a pack with expansions for $10). This is all predicated on the price that the printer gives back for making them in the fashion that I want. If they say that it's going to be $3 per page and that I need to run 1,000 of them for each page, of course I will not be tossing $6,000 out to make them, but we will have to see. If it is reasonable, I would also try to pre-print stone and brick patterns on the pages so they look like stone dice towers.
I would also make one more change and half cut the tabs for the second shelf in the tower so that they may be folded like the first shelf to stablize the second shelf and the whole tower more.
But all of this is predicated on the price. As I learn more, I will let you all know. I will still want to keep the plans up for free, though, for those that want to build their own from start to finish and don't mind all doing the intricate cutting.

p.s. Thank you to all who have given me thumbs up and donated to my avatar cause! I am blown away by the response to this little project.
This looks very good, however, my Foxit Reader always crashes when I'm trying to scroll to the third page in both PDF documents.
I use Foxit instead of Acrobat Reader, since it is much more lightweight, and doesn't hog your memory with a "speed launcher". I assume the Acrobat Reader works, since I'm the first person to notice the error.
Well I just made one also. This works great thanks for the plans. I was thinking about making a wood one but this was much easier and hey I like to use Exacto knives.
