Oh, yes. This is my biggest gripe with AH, and why I only have the base game. It's way too big. I don't have a 5ft x 3ft empty table, and I dont' really like to play on the floor, so...
I really like the card holders. Best design I've seen! Would you be willing to share the blueprints?
My sincere thanks for the compliment.
To be honest I knocked them up quickly the afternoon before a game, and they were designed to be temporary solutions, until I can make something better.
I am awaiting delivery of the last two expansions, to Arkham Horror, that I need to complete my collection. Then I will make something to hold all the cards, and will happily share blueprints and pictures of it.
My God. I can't believe the amount of "stuff" on the table. This isn't a set-up for playing is it? Tell me it's just a display of "all I've got." I'd never buy this game if it took up that much space and had that many cards and pieces required to play. That's insane.
Hello. Is that a different version of the Arkham board or do my eyes deceive me?
It´s from the second edition. The first edition is very dark and gloomy. (BTW, I love my first edition board, but hate that it doesnt match with the expansion boards.)

Don't worry, the base-game is significantly smaller than that.
What you're seeing is a hybrid of an "all I've got" and a game-in-play. Dave is playing with both of the bigbox (no hyperbole there) expansions added in (and I think one of the smallbox expansions too?). While AH is a relatively large game on its own, it's normally nowhere near that kind of gargantuan size. With just the core-game (even the core with a smallbox expansion) you'd only need about half that space.

I have respect for the way you have managed to squeeze it all onto a couple of tables! We played with the base game and all expansions for quite some time- needed my friends huge front room floor to fit in around all the board and cards. You don't have enough expansions if you can hold the Mythos deck without needing three hands!
Don't worry, the base-game is significantly smaller than that.
I wouldn't say significantly smaller, it's still very large, barely fits on my table and it's pretty damn big (although the main problem with my table is it's more than long enough, just not wide enough to have the board and character sheets on either side).
When I now saw this Coppelius, the frightful and terrific thought took possession of my soul, that indeed no one but he could be the Sandman.

That's why I have a 1st and 2nd edition. I use the first board to play without the board expansions and the second when I want to play with board expansions.

Your definition of 'temporary solution' astounds me.

i have the 1st edition board and there is no problem to play with the expansions despite the fact they're brighter, because let's don't forget they're different towns, hence the different 'look'
