Karl wanted to lead the heroes but Katarina felt he lacked focus.

Beautiful work! What kind of paints & brushes did you use? I've been looking for better quality paints. I used to use just standard oil-based model paints to do my metal minis but I've not worked with plastic before, so just wondering what would work well.

Thanks for the kind words and sorry for not replying sooner, I hadn't seen the questions here.

I used Vallejo paints mostly but some were Games Workshop. Both are acrylic based paints that thin and wash up with water. Oil based paints I've used in the past were not only a hassle to thin and clean up but were also thick and slow drying. I strongly recommend going with acrylics. The Vallejo and GW paints are of a similar quality but I find the Vallejo bottles are far superior, less wastage and more control when dispensing to a pallet.

The brushes are also diverse. The drybrushes are all GW, I've found they all wear pretty well. The super fine tip brushes on the other hand do not, regardless of the brand. Experience has shown me that paying extra for a better quality brush pays dividends, but the super fine ones all seem to fray quickly. I don't tend to follow a brand but rather buy the best one i can find at the time and hope it lasts for a few uses. The most important thing about brushes is looking after them. Always clean them thoroughly and never stand them on their tips.
