I have never played the game. Now, it's probably very clever, but why are the planet cards hanging from the blinds?

I have also never played the game, but from what I know it works like this: When you take over a planet, you recieve it's planet card. Hanging them off the blinds makes it quicker to find a card than riffling through a big deck of cards.
