Wow! A Power Grid map with the Catalan Countries! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalan_countries. I like it.

I guess this map will hurt centralist spaniards' feelings, but, hey, things are as they are. The only complain is that you could have used the official names for the cities, instead of the Spanish translations, but for 2/3 of these cities the official name IS the Spanish name, so it is 70% correct.

I don't think so. Centralism isn't what it used to be, now that the spanish capital city is in the basque country

Well, as Leonard Cohen said, First we take Manhattan, then we take Bilbao. whistle

WoW Awesome! Could have another city on the North of Portugal tho, GUIMARÃES!!! Is one of the most important cities in the country

Seven cities in each region. Portugal isn't big enough for two regions, and Friedemann doesn't want regions to be split between countries.

Oh my God!!!

Why I have to listen ever things like "Catalan Countries"

How easy the can forget http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Aragon

or http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corona_de_Arag%C3%B3n

and then they make up "Catalan Countries".

Returning to the game... I think that is a good map (I don´t know about cities from Portugal). Probably I will buy it.

Because they are different things. whistle

You have left linking http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalan_countries. And the second one in English is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crown_of_Aragon.

The Crown of Aragon is a different thing than the Kingdom of Aragon. And both ceased existence in the XVIII Century, after the War of the Spanish Succession.

On the other hand, Catalan Countries is a modern term coined in the XIX Century to express a surviving cultural reality without political connotations. The funny thing is that a Catalan newspaper recently published how a dozen international agencies (from the UN to the EU) use this concept for their studies as it seems natural for them (as they have no prejudices). It is only the Spanish government that seems to be unaware of the realities inside Spain. Or aren't they? shake

Catalan countries. That is against the desires of over 90% of people of Valencia, over 80% of the people Majorca, and over 60% (and that is taking into account the independentist figures) of the people in Catalonia.

So you invent something that has never existed (and you, or somebody else can do as many wiki pages as they want there has NEVER existed any "catalan countries").

So you force upon the vast majority of the people in other parts your beliefs, forcing them to be part of those "catalan countries".

And you will call me a fascist for showing upon you this evidences.

You just have to love how Nazionalists invent their own history.

BTW, the expansion is not called, Spain-Portugal-Catalan countries, is it?

Sweet map. Can I play as FET y de las JONS?

I cut off all water and power to the Communists. I replace the running water of the anarchists with raw sewage (they won't notice).

Our polemist friend Martí Cabré has refused to take notice of several facts. Firstly, if Catalan countries are defined as "places where Catalan is spoken", then the Balearic islands are not part of the Catalan countries. Secondly, political borders are simply historical circumstances designed to separate and alienate persons who are exactly the same on both sides of the border. I believe that what BoardGameGeek promotes is just the opposite: People's union by means of cooperation (and, of course, gaming lol).

Finally, I would like to beg all of you, dear board game geeks, to keep BGG free of politics and full of fun, as it has been, as it is and as it should be in the future. Please help to make the experience of surfing BGG an enjoyable one.
