This beuatifully captures the romantic fantasies one often combines with those explorers - forgetting, that the life on board was all but romantic.
Wonderful picture for a great game!
Thanks - nice pun here! And yes, if you keep in mind, that only 18 of the 256 men on a single ship out of five of the first circumnavigation of the world arrived Sanlucar, where the journey started three years before and a small ship of 100 feet length and 30 feet width had 60 men on board, sleeping on literally every place available on the planks, this was not "romantic" at all.
About "romanticisms": laying around on a pasture was not exactly what peasants in the middle ages did, too.
Thanks. The white balance / colour correction within the camera and the angle without having too much of a glare were a bit tricky. I tried to get as much of the current game situation as possible in the picture and most of the material included in the game (missed the market, though). I also didn`t want to have much "background" besides the table, so I had to push the whole stuff close to the edge ... This is shot from a mini-tripod and with about 5 seconds shutter speed, so not really a "snapshot".
