Somebody want to report on how this thing is made. Are the wood blocks dropping through holes? Are they on slopes in the tower held back by ridges?

Also, what are your general thoughts on how many cubes typically pop out of the tower when you first "seed" the tower with farmers and player armies in a 4 player game?
That is 38 armies. How many come out at the bottom in that first toss in?

Then during play, typically how many come out when various quantities (3, 5, 10, 15) of cubes are thrown in?

Thanks

Ron Stuckel (#10596),
I've played three 4 player games so far. Seems like the mix still in the tower is usually 2-3 cubes for each player, 2-4 peasants.

When one seeds the tower in the beginning, don't cubes naturally fall out already?

anson (#18800),

Yes, but the rules require that all of the 'seed' cubes that fall through (which is usually most of them) must be removed from the cup and returned to the players' and/or farmer supplies. The result is a small degree of initial randomness, with each player usually having ~ 1-3 cubes remaining in the tower when the game starts.

Ron Stuckel (#10596),

In my games, we make a great ritual of The Seeding Of The Tower. Flags wave, bands march by, and The Royal Shotglass is upended over the tower.

Usually, 2-5 of the 10 green cubes get stuck. As for the player cubes, that ranges anywhere from 1-4. We've never seen anyone get all his cubes back, but we've never seen anyone get more than four stuck in the tower. Our games have been surprisingly consistent during The Ritual.
