Well I'm happy but sad at the same time... I almost always buy my game in English, but I bought SmallWorld in French (this was the only version left in stock back then and I couldn't wait). I'm still waiting (almost 6 months now) that DaysOfWonders reprint the Be not afraid expansion in french. It is out of stock everywhere since november. And now, there is this new expansion announced... a new one when I dindn't play a single game with the last one... More races and powers is a really good thing, but common DaysOfWonders... please have them in sufficient stock to meet the demand this time.

According to the press release this is a stand alone game, so you can buy it in any language you want.
So what? Edit: BTW, I just noticed, that you have been milking this game for GG quite nicely by uploading lots of pictures...
How is this a rebuttal of helioa's statement? He obviously liked the original game (or not), but this is milking the cow, pure and simple. Your post is a totally irrelevant and non-sequitur ad hominem attack.
So, are we going to call "milking the cow" every time a succesful game gets a sequal or an expansion? Or is Small World such a complete game already that anything added to it is just another catapult and can't possible have any other reason to exist than to generate sweet money?
I personally believe that there is plenty left to explore in the Small World world and will glady welcome our new Underground overlords.
if this is "milking the cow", the dominion series are plugging the cow to a milking machine, selling the milk, killing the cow, making clothes from its skin and furniture from the bones.

No kidding. I've seen much crappier games get many more expansions. Smallworld is one of the few that actually DESERVES this kind of attention, IMHO.

You've got Memoir '44 to play. Don't spend your time looking at this. There will be time to play this when you're done with your outstanding session report series. On you get...
Can I have some COOKIES too?!?! Goblin shaped, Troll shaped, etc... I'm not picky as long as they are not Goblin FLAVORED, Troll FLAVORED, etc...
And for the record I am anxious as all get out for more Small World goodness...
If anyone has them, I'm still looking for a few blank RACE/POWER tokens to complete my Compendium printing... GG and/or $$ for your time and shipping, geek mail me.
Thanks!
Edited: DOH! Hit "Submit" instead of "Preview" first go around... stupid happy mouse trigger finger.

And yet, Helioa took it in stride, as if it wasn't an "attack" just a fun poke... I am sorry you sir are so greatly offended, may I ask was your MILK spoiled this morning and perhaps that clouded your response?
Deep breath and relax... It's all just fun and games, literally...

This is a highly responsible and respectful use of cow.

Oh, no this has been invented by the Carcassone series!
