Finally got to play this game after many years of wanting to. It did not disappoint and now the wait till we next play it begins. A lot of the big moves came on the position of the king and when to grab control. RD (the game's owner) knew that right off and built up his safe haven in Catalonia. My home region (Valenica) was overrun with riffraff and thus my Grande moved to New Castile, but that happened too late for me to have much impact on the final result. JS gave RD a good run, but he had enough points around the board to ensure a comfortable win.

Breakout at Klin scenario from the EF expansion. This looks a tough one for the Soviets to win. So I moved some tanks from the center to protect the left flank, which paid dividends there and defended as best I could in the center. Those central German guns caused havoc though and I got stuck with all right-flank cards forcing me to abandon my defensive position and go on the offensive. That actually worked quite well as the Germans had trouble responding, but then my left flank collapsed and I couldn't stop the Germans taking the medals for the win.
