Incredibly long game for three reasons; 1 Two new people were involved so there was a rules explanation required, 2 distractions were fairly constant from others in the room, 3 almost everyone had been drinking and/or was sleep deprived.

I'd worked out how to play the prior evening when I sat near the board and watched for a few minutes.
No deep thought required but it does help to think ahead at least a little.

Two new players, each getting some advice (not all of it good) from a separate person that had played before.

Everyone was new, I had read through the rules earlier but didn't really understand what was going on. The first round seemed to take as long as pretty much the rest of the game would have if we'd just played.

Played right after the first game it still started around 2am so most of us were less than serious.

My second game, teaching the other two how to play. We started at around 10am I think and there was a little slowness because of when people had been getting to bed.

First game for both of us (started around midnight), so we were learning by reading the rules and trying to figure things out as we went. After a couple of turns we'd both come to a couple of the same conclusions, and a couple that were opposed. The evenness of our score indicates neither of us was particularly correct.

After about 16 months I finally got to play this. The seven of us started playing at about 1:30am.
The game is fun although I can see certain of my friends only wanting to play after they've been drinking or at the very end of an evening.
