	Hi Guys,&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;After the great success of our first WABA Thornlie Meeting another has come around again!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Drinks will again be available and we will work out a dinner run again.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We need to increase attendance if we are to make this great extra gaming day a permanent fixture on the WABA calendar. We had over 20 people last time with 5 new members and many great games played.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;So come join us for a great social day with Heaps of games. 	Well, seeing that you asked and I hate to leave a conundrum conundrumming.....&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Eurogaming in our house really only happens when we invite people over. Typically, we play games that can handle 4-7 players. We thought we'd get a 2p game just for something different, but we've only played C &amp; C a couple of times over the past 3 or so years that we've had it. We've enjoyed playing the game, but it rarely gets a showing......&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I can hardly nag my good wife for acting like a magpie and storing stuff, when I'm not taking action to keep my game collection from acquired obesity, so out it goes............sometime.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;

It's a fantastic endeavour, and I actually encourage everyone to sign up for both Secret Santas if they can. Once you receive an address, check out your victim's recipient's wishlist and select a gift they've indicated they like. Choose a gift that's specified for the NZ/AU Secret Santa. Do NOT to join the Secret Santa unless you plan to send a gift; this isn't a &quot;get a free game for nothing&quot; club. Those who don't send gifts, and then won't respond to follow-up emails from us may have their accounts suspended, as we don't want the name of BGG besmirched by greedy folk. 	Hi all,&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;As you've probably noticed, the WABA games collection has been growing rapidly lately thanks to the generosity of members. We now have 56 games in the collection and Warren has shares in a plastic tub company!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Unfortunately, as the collection has grown, so managing it has become a bigger task. It's a small publisher (Splotter) and with games like this that have a certain popularity at some point they might get picked up by a bigger publisher and distributed more widely as I've never seen this in Australia. But that hasn't happened yet.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I've also had my eye on Roads and Boats (also Splotter). As it happened, last month Thoughthammer had Indonesia, Roads and Boats (and expansion) and American Megafauna (plus expansion) all in stock. I've been wanting to get all of them and one shipment would help defray the significant shipping cost so I thought bugger it, I'll just get them.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I also want to try the others at some point but all in good time.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Oh and all up it cost US$100 or so plus postage (probably another US$30 or so. So I guess that puts it at $150 or so.

	1) Would you attend the WABA Wanneroo event? Definitely interested&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;2) What time would best suit?&lt;br&gt;b) 3rd Saturday of the month 1pm - 10pm  - though would most likely be 1- 6ish &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;3) If you attended this event would it stop you from attending the 'main event' in Mt.Claremont? It's an economic game with some interesting mechanics and will probably take 30 minutes to explain the rules and 4 hours to play and should probably have 4-5 people to play.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;a  href=&quot;http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1&quot;   &gt;Die Macher&lt;/a&gt; is of course the game of German politics. I've played this 3-4 times and I know there's some interest out there. I'd be interested in playing the full game (7 elections). I know there is some interest out there in playing this. Time estimate is 30-45 minutes for the rules and 4 hours to play. It should also have the full complement of 5 players.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The only way this sort of thing will work is if it's started as the first game (by about 11.15) otherwise people get caught up playing other games and so on.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Put your hand up here if you're interested (in one, the other or either). If I get sufficient interest (3-4 for Indonesia, 4 for Die Macher) we'll get it going first thing on Saturday. If both have sufficient interest... dunno what I'll do. Probably go with what people prefer of the two.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;If there is insufficient interest, I might try and get a game of &lt;a  href=&quot;http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/27833&quot;   &gt;Steam&lt;/a&gt; going at some point on Saturday.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;

	Hi Billy, I did have 3 existing players lined up to try for a 6 player, although one can't make it this Saturday...so, trying for 4 others now.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Two of us know the game pretty well, and the idea is to give new players a taste for the game rather than a full blown play if there is enough interest.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I find the game pretty easy to teach and the mechanics are pretty straight forward. We are going to try a more ordered approach to trading so it doesn't take up too much time...although it will still be around 4 hrs.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Sounds like it may be a better game to try out at WABA Thornlie perhaps?
