Hi!!

What about for a "Space Hulk solution"?

Directly, the Warships and the ports have two dice and choose the higer (except an "atacked port", that use both).

The KCs use tree dice an choose the higer.

Yes, I know, this make the fights over the KCs more hard, but this also make more razoneable the idea of flee of a KC.

I like this homerule because it's simply, but if you think that could be better by the addition of changes depending the ship you use i will be glad of see its

(Sorry for my english... is terrified!!!)

	Hi All,

Got some time now to go back to Blackbeard, I got the updated 2nd edition rulebook printed out as well as the updated charts. I got the counters punched out and mounted the map and I'm ready to play. I started to read the rulebook, maybe I have to read the whole rulebook and but I'm kind of having hard time starting to play. I would like to play solo. Is there somewhere a good step by step game AAR/example of play? At least a turn or two would be nice please...Not sure if I should read the rulebook fully and then try a two game playing both players and then read the solo rules and actually play a true solitaire game.

Thanks!

Think of it this way, when taking over the ship the hostage is the one person you didn't kill.

Yep, I see now that I'm looking at the chits (got game today) closer. They aren't ALL important, but do represent people on the ship from one level or another.

Thanks for the replies though. :)

The hostage tokens have different Information / Value ratings. You draw one at random from the pool of 15. So, yes, each Merchant ship will have a hostage of some importance - even the lowly Outcast has a 0 / 1 rating.

To anyone who enjoys reading about the history of piracy, there is a new book out, called The Invisible Hook, that examines the economic aspects. I haven't read the book, but I did enjoy an interview with the author on the EconTalk podcast. It's available at iTunes and here:

http://www.econtalk.org/archives/2009/05/leeson_on_pirat.htm...

TSS
