Thread: Munchkin Quest:: Rules:: Does anyone use Munchkin cards in Munchkin Quest?

by TalonMC

My fiance totally spoiled me on my birthday last week... She gave me both Munchkin Quest (with Looking for Trouble!) and the Munchkin card game (with Unnecessary Axe).

We played several games of Munchkin Quest and both of us love the game. Then we tried the Munchkin card game and agreed it just doesn't compare to the fun of the boardgame.

Has anyone tried writing up rules to add the card game cards into the boardgame? Many of the Munchkin cards are already in the boardgame, but there are so many *more* Munchkin cards that aren't in the boardgame yet... I think they could add a lot to the board game if the two games could be integrated somehow.

Anyone have any ideas on how to mix the two?

-MC

Thread: Munchkin Quest:: Rules:: Monster ownership, am I missing something?

by Blustar

The yellow box states that a monster that's yours considers you it's target. Even when fighting someone else?

Also it states that if it fights, you roll for it (even when it's fighting you) and you can use your own cards to affect its rolls.
1. Can't you always use your own cards to affect a monsters rolls at any time even if it's fighting against you? ( why do they state this?)Are they stating and exception or just reminding you that you can do it? It surely doesn't mean that the only player who can affect it's rolls is the player who "owns" it right?

2. What is actually affected by a monster being yours? Can anyone just list all the rules concerning this state?

thanks for your time...

Thread: Munchkin Quest:: Rules:: Other monsters in entrance area during Boss fight?

by Harlekin

Somewhere the rules state that during the Boss fight is the only time monsters are allowed in the entrance area. It is clear that this means the boss monster itself. But what about other monsters?

The rules for losing the fight state that all monsters in that area will vanish. So I can spawn an additional monster with a "Wandering monster" card. But can I also lure more monsters into the room from adjacent areas? My GF lured three monsters into the entrance area with one of those "move each monster one area towards the target" cards. Is that valid?

Thread: Munchkin Quest:: Rules:: Buying levels with items, deals and (re) loaded dies

by Evert

I have a couple of questions. I hope someone knows the answer to them.

Do you have to be at a shop (for example ‘Ye olde donjon shoppe’) to buy a level? Can you buy a level with gold, not being in the shop? Can you buy a level with items, not being in the shop? Can you buy a level with items and gold (for example an item worth 600 and 400 gold coins)?

In a couple of rooms (for example ‘Ye olde donjon shoppe’ or ‘Laboratory’) there is more than one deal. Do I have to spend one move per deal or can I spend one move and get all the deals in a room?

Are ‘loaded die’ and ‘reloaded die’ items? Can I place them on the table?

Many greetings,

Evert
