For a flow to be classed as 'moved' it must move at least one space, even if it cannot complete its full course of movement.

Other wise a flow may be rotated, or removed from the board.

In all of these instances each one is classed as an Ice Flow Action.

I have both versions of the rules ... is there a FAQ or something I'm missing?

And then why does it say it must move one space?

Flows only move as far as they have space to do so.

Thread: Ice Flow:: Rules:: Ice Flow Movement

by nomad001

The rules state that "the flow is moved at least one sea space, and then as far as possible according to the arrows." So, if a flow preceding another flow (ie. adjacent and "upstream") is moved on a two arrow stream, how far does it go?

1. Nowhere as its stuck on the downstream flow.
2. One hex (pushing the second flow) and then stopping as it has no free movement.
3. Two full moves, pushing the adjacent flow ahead for two hexes.
4. Three full (pushing) moves (one that must be moved, then two others as stated by the arrows).

(We thought #2 was what the rules were driving at, but are looking for some clarification.)

Thanks!

by cink

I try to read a rule book while wating for a game ship to me ,and now ,I just got a copy of Ice Flow last week . However ,when I play with 4 players game ,I have some question that a rule book cannot answer me.

In 4 players game. Each player have 1 fish and 1 rope that mean there are 11 fish in supply, but in a card deck ,there are 14 fish in 12 cards.

The question is , what should I do, when I draw all 12 cards with fish in setup phase? (It's cause for short of fish in supply in the last 1-2 of floes)

1. draw a new card with no fish on card.
2. put everything on card to a floe except fish
3. try to find something put on a floe instead of fish (as fish)
4. other method do you think
