In fact, some cards released in the first year of the game will not make any sense without those rules (which are inadequate and confusing imo). <br> <br>What I have found is that Bakugan works much better with more gate cards in play. It is no fun when each player rolls four times and doesn't get a marble to pop open. The game is all about them landing on a metal gate card and opening. <br> <br>My suggestion would be to develop your own house rules for the game.
