The new FAQ/clarifications/errata for Brit Second Edition as worked out between FFG and myself are on FFG's Web site at:

http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/PDF/britanniafaq.pdf

Note especially that the Jutes play AFTER the Saxons, not before as marked on the board. As green may be the weakest of the colors, this can be important.

I'm not sure, but you could actually use that as an argument to keep the Jutes before the Saxons?! If the Saxons are first, they can just wipe out the Jutes, before they expand. Now, the Jutes are first and can hopefully gain an additional army, making it a bit more difficult for the Saxons to conquer their territories.

Just a thought. On the other hand, the same goes for the Saxon expansion...

Also, I think Green is rather OK, especially with the Welsh "scoring machine" and the Danes that can cooperate with the Welsh nicely.

Yes I think that the point and note only that, it makes the Jutes playable

I am not sure about that but it is not the point here. Again, it's just made the Jute playable lastibg more thant one round (in most case) and who makes the most victory points it's up to you!
