Mayfair Games, Inc. is proud to announce the 10 April 2006 debut of
its new, fully revised website. This long-awaited site update provides our customers a compact, easy-to-navigate format. Organized so you can browse by brand, category, and title, the new mayfairgames.com site is designed to be a user-friendly information center that complements and supports both our valuable consumers and vital trade customers.
Of course, this is only the beginning for Mayfair's new web program. We'll be tweaking and updating on an ongoing basis. And important education and community sections like the Retailer Zone, Teacher Zone, and University of Catan will be rolling out in the coming months. It's an ever-evolving renaissance!

Re: News Alert: Mayfair to launch new, fully revised website
It's been long overdue for such an important company to have had such a bad website. Nice and clean now! Very well done!

Ah, finally. I guess they got tired of every Geek that knows web design offering to redo their site in exchange for games. Rather like me.

About time too. It looks much better.
It's interesting to see the tie up with Phalanx and da Vinci games on the menu. Can you tell us more about the arrangement? I understand the publishers are now working together to produce games they all publish. Will we see the fruits soon?

About time! Your website was embarrasingly amateurish and diminished the quality of your trademark! Now however it looks great! Really, it might be one of the best out there. Now if you only had a feature to play some of your games online, but I know I am asking for too much!
I am also curious to know your relationship to some of these other companies. For example the other day I bought Ceasar and Cleopatra, but I'm sure it was sold under the Kosmos / Rio Grande brands. Yet you are also offering the game, terribly confusing!

Spinning Icon MADNESS!
I highly suggest mousing rapidly up and down over that menu on the left side. I've been doing it for about 7 hours now. Can you beat my record?

Not at all!
We actually have something in the pipeline relating to that -- and it'll be a free feature. Sometime this summer ... I can only say that much :-)

Guido,
Are you still able to buy blank hexes, unpainted pieces, and etc. for Settlers of Catan? My old bookmarks still seem to work, but I can't find the parts anywhere on the new site.
The new look is much improved!

Re: News Alert: Mayfair to launch new, fully revised website
Looks pretty good. The horizontal meny at the top of the page looks a bit out of focus though. Also, I dont really like the iframe in the middle of the page. It's pretty small and you are forced to scoll a lot. I guess it makes the site compact, but at my resolution there's about a 1/4 at the bottom of the viewport that is unused. If you removed the iframe you would not have to scroll as much as you have to now and there would be less wasted space.

A fix:
The text for "Hey, That's My Fish" when viewed under the Kids section exceeds the box length.

Re: News Alert: Mayfair to launch new, fully revised website
Definitely better but still lacking. The iFrame effectively limits the viewable content in the browser, which is interesting since the entire website is slightly over the 600x800 viewing size.
It is too bad that on my 20 inch monitor I need to scroll up/down with so little content (and even left/right in some views).

I note that the RPG section is still there, but not linked to anything. Does Mayfair still handle the Chill stuff (that Pacesetter used to make)?
