I played the reprint for the first time today and noticed a few problems. I would have figured that with there being so many delays that this kind of thing wouldn't have happened, but here we are:
- A number of action cards are missing the last line of their explanation - Board says 'Castile', region cards say 'Castille' - Any more?
I'm not terribly pleased with the card stock either, but that's another issue altogether.

There are a couple of spelling/grammatical errors in the "sample game" but I can't think of them off the top of my head; though it does once refer to your "court" as your "yard".

Your reports are somewhat disheartening.
I received my copy yesterday afternoon along with Goa. Although I "broke shrink" on my El Grande I only performed a quick overview of the contents. I've been focusing my attention on Goa for the moment since I've played El Grande a few times but never Goa.
What seems telling is that for all these many months leading up to the availability last week of Decennial there had been nary a word about the game. No one seemed to have advance copies to review and even the box art was a well-kept secret up to only a few days before the release.
Did Jay know something and when did he know it?

(Sigh.) This is what happens when you get your stuff typeset and/or printed in countries where they don't speak the language.

I think printing errors are generally only problematic if you are not aware of them.
I understand your frustration, but denying yourself the fun of playing a game just because of some minor (albiet inexcusable) printing error is not in your best interest. I suggest buying the game and enjoying it, who knows maybe in time you will come to love the quirky typos
EDIT: learning how to use the bold tags properly

I noticed a lot of errors in the new edition too. Nothing major, looked like they were mostly translation mistakes. Still can't wait to play it (tonight after work!)

It's disappointing. I mean, the cards are still clear enough to anyone who's played before, but there's a definite bad taste in the mouth. Hopefully RGG will issue replacements for the screwups.

I hate to be a bother, and I've already done this in another El Grande thread, but could someone be so kind as to explain what text is actually missing? I've yet to recieve my copy and am curious.

Oooo, that's bad.
And annoying. And when you consider that some people have had this game on "backorder" for almost a year . . . geez, . . .

Luckily, the little diagrams on the action cards can clear up any confusion as to the text. For example, the other misprint I noticed was one of the "everyone moves their cabs from whereever to wherever. Decide..." The missing word was "secretly", but those secret spinner devices were depicted in the diagram. Likewise, there are standard icons for "your own", "foreign cabs", etc.
This info is certainly not news to those who've played before, but only intended to ameliorate worry for first-timers.

I haven't but I'll bet I hope he's noticed this thread.

I've never played El Grande before. This sucks.

Has anyone noticed a new game/reprint lately without any errors?

I am glad i have the old edition...

I noticed they removed the Decennial entry on the Geek. Are you folks discussing the Decennial, or is there another reprint that I'm strangely unaware of (seems unlikely)?

OK, here's my laundry list:
This is just an inventory of things I noticed while unpacking my game, and is intended for comparison’s sake. RGG has made good on mistakes before, and I have no reason to expect that will change.
Typos BASE GAME (action cards) Intrigue card:“Move all of your own Cabelleros from…” and “Move any 4 of your own Cabelleros on…”
Two card “Your fellow players must send all of their own Cabelleros from one region back to the provinces. Each player decides which region. Decide…”
Three card: “Special scoring: Score the region(s) with the least Cabelleros. Regions without Cabelleros are not considered…”
Four card: “Power cards: Take 1 of your power cards from the discard stack…” (this one’s probably complete except for end punctuation)
K&I The King Card: “You may move the King to any…”
Missing stuff Missing one of the five black plastic spinners and grommet.
Missing Blue #15 card (Fiesta) from K&I deck

Re: Printing errors - HERE THEY ARE...
Looking at my game it looks like there are 4 cards misprinted, this is based on the lack of end puncuation, (sp?) no period or exclamation point etc.
They are as follows:
In the (1 cab INTRIGUE Cards) there are two misprints "what is printed......(missing info I think)"
"move all of your own Caballeros from (one region to adjacent space(s)"
"move any 4 of your own Caballeros on (the borad from one region to another)"
In the (2 cab DECAY OF AUTHORITY Cards) there is one misprint "what is printed......(missing info I think)"
"Your fellow players must send all of their own Caballeros from one region back to the provinces. Each player decides with region. Decide (in secret, using your wheel)"
In the (3 cab SPECIAL SCORING Cards) there is one misprint "what is printed......(missing info I think)"
"Score the region(s) with the least Caballeros. Regions without Caballeros are not concisered (when determinimg least Caballeros.)"
In the (4 cab POWER Cards) there is one misprint (ON TWO CARDS) "what is printed......(missing info I think)"
"Take one of your power cards from the discard stack (and play that this turn in place of the card you just played when determinimg how many Caballeros you recieve from the provinces.)" - THIS CARD IS THE MOST UNCLEAR
It is all very clear on the cards, with the exception of the POWER CARD, using just the pictures IMHO. Don't let this little thing stop you from buying the game. It really is a good game.
Hope this helps

Just as a curiosity. The correct name for this region in spanish is ´Castilla´, like the second team of Real Madrid footbal club

Action cards are off-center
The backs of my set of action cards are printed about .125" (3mm) too far to the right. The lower case "e" in El Grande touches the edge of the card.
Overall, I like the look of the game. But the cards in my copy are disappointing in terms of the aforementioned errors, card quality, and the backs of the action cards.

SUCK!
I wish I had read this thread before ordering. I haven't even got the game yet and I am already having buyers remorse. Bring on the free replacement parts to fix the screw ups. Where is the petition?

Ow.
Rio Grande, in my opinion, has lots of integrity and will most likely make good on this. I'm not particularly worried, although it's rather inconvenient having to deal with truncated card descriptions. I'll see the status of my copy later tonight.

Oh come on.. GMT made a few hillarious typos with Twilight Struggle and they never hear of the end of it...
As for El Grande, im very dissapointed. Almost makes me regret my order.
