I really like how compact this is...saw the video review of it a couple months ago. Can we order this in America? Or should we just wait till Feb 2007 for the Face2Face Games version?

Is the F2F version the same as this? I like the looks of this as well, and I wouldn't mind finding a new home for the giant Stop Sign as my game shelf is a bit crowded..

I wrote to asmodee and they said I could order it but massive shipping fees would apply. I guess they'd ship it from France to America for 19.9 ($25.21) euros but no idea how much the shipping would be. The whole ordering page is in french. Here's the link if anyone wishes to try ordering it. I think I'll just have to wait till Feb 2007 for the face2face edition. Portable version would've been cool though.

Why don't you ask Le Valet D'Coeur at levalet.com?
They have a good selection of french games, and the shipping in North America is like 5$ Canadian. You loose nothing by sending an email to them.
PS: I have no affiliation with levalet, beside being a happy customer.

I did email them but no response so I'm guessing they either don't know and didn't respond or perhaps the electronic mail got lost in spam filters. http://www.levalet.com I'd order Phoenix from them too if they had Can't Stop asmodee version.

Sweet they did reply...just took a bit.
Quote: Hello,
Yes, we will be receiving this game - hopefully in the next couple of weeks - and will let you know once it's arrived at the store.

I'm all over this one. Love the portability of this game.

That does look like a nice compact version. It got me wondering if it could be ordered from www.playme.de and I don't see this version, but ....
... they have the Franjos version for about 15,48 euro (this is after subtracting the VAT which non-EU countries need not pay). But I'm not familiar with this version either. It does look more compact than the "Stop Sign" version.
Any comments on this version? This is playme's not very useful image:
Are the following images from the image gallery the Franjos version?

I have the version pictured above with the vinyl mat and the big pawns and I really like it. I never thought the stop sign version was very nice to look at so I paid a bit extra to get this one. The new asmodee version is nice too and the fact that it packs so small is a definite bonus.

And $100 later, this is on its way to me.
Somehow Du Balai and Nacht der Magier made its way into the box with it, it seems.

Wow, my edition is a plastic red board with parts that fit over little plugs. It must be ancient, but I think I prefer it for stability if nothing else. While the guy in the video is funny, all I could think of was those pieces falling over if someone moves the cloth just a bit...just my two cents.

Well any game without interlocking pieces is prone to that. But now that I've given up on that version of Can't Stop, I've got a copy of Advance to Boardwalk you can have if you want to make pieces for more players. :-)

Damn you, monkey! As I was about to check out, Nacht der Magier somehow jumped into my cart...must have seen your post. Well, now my bank account is $70 lighter.

Of course it would! This isn't about some snooty euro game with elaborate arbitrary wooden knickknacks! Can't Stop is an excellent game you can make in the comfort of your own home! If thats your thing, go! Now! Construct! Use Star Wars lego to make an illegitimate THEMED version!
But if you're hankering for a real version, this is the best there is, and for only 100x the cost of a thrift store copy!
(it is a fair price for a great game, sure, but there are some realities as Nazhuret points out)

I meant no offense nor disparity of the original nor this current version.... nor, again, of those that were willing to pay for it.
I simply meant to point out that a version could be had for, basically, free with cards, Lego, or even just pen and paper....
The fact is that it is a great game and whatever version you choose for yourself then go for it. You will have fun.
Perhaps I should not have posted at all since this was, originally, talking about this new incarnation.
Forgive my trespass (and no, I'm not being sarcastic here).
Please.... carry on.
