Here is a little game that I hope many BGGers will enjoy. I have created a few images, from which you can try to guess the board game (and if you are a type geek, the typeface as well).

Thanks to everyone who participated in the first Font Name That Game Game ( http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/128324) and for those generous GeekGold tips that allowed me to purchase an avatar.

I hope that as I earn more GoldGeek, I can create some more fun contests to give it away. I have really enjoyed the content of this site, and hope to contribute in my own way.

So... Can you Guess these games?

Yes, Sorry! IS correct.

The typeface used by Sorry! is called Advertisers Gothic.

Yes, Carcassonne is correct.

I realize that the typeface I used is not perfect, but it is fairly close. It is called Lindsay.

Not quite, although I believe you are correct about Talisman. It does seam to use the same typeface. I am, however, looking for something different.

Man O' War is correct!

Good job. The typefaced used is a stretched Serif Gothic.

forgive me if this seems pedantic. just for the record, i am compelled to say that this would more acurately be titled "The Typeface Name That Game". typeface refers to the style of type and font refers to a complete set of characters of a given typeface. in addition, stretching type is a sin and there is a circle of hell specifically reserved for people guilty of this practice. thank you and good night.

spacerx,
You are absolutely correct in both points. However, the general public doesn't really care about either. Had this been a graphic design forum, I would have done things different.

I believe that some people might think that there is a special circle of hell for those who don't capitalize their sentences.

Trival Pursuit is correct.

The typeface used is Balmoral Script. I believe I have at least six versions of this game. (Is there a game with more version than this?)
