As far as I can make it out you have solved it backwards and you have forgotten to remove some letters. Go over the list again and turn the order of your letters.

Thank you. I've got the phrase now, but no ideas. Maybe I'll figure it out while I'm at work.

And I give up. I have the clue (I think) as:

Spoiler (click to reveal)
Moist in the morning

Whatever that means.

And as a last ditch effort I've entered in:

Spoiler (click to reveal)
Every single president's last name

So any help at this point would be appreciated.

Thanks for the GM, I actually looked right over the answer a few times. Guess I just needed someone to point that out.

Was there any rhyme or reason as to why those pictures were chosen for the puzzle? I mean, besides them all being losers (in the presidential sense).

Did you ever get up in the morning, go outside, and something is moist? What's that called?

dew
had that, but it wasn't helping either. I'm gonna feel stupid, I just know it.

so maybe...
Spoiler (click to reveal)
"dew" is part of the name of the "loser" in the election which would make the winner either harry truman, or FDR.
oy.. grasping at straws

You are RIGHT THERE!
Spoiler (click to reveal)

I'm getting nowhere. I start in B4 arrow points to B5. That arrow seems to point to A4 and that arrow seems to point back to B4.

Check your GM

Use Paint - but with a pencil tool, not a paintbrush, like I started to. It obliterated too much...

Don't be too sure. Make sure that you know not only where you are going, but where you are coming from. Not everything applies to you.

Guessed it immediately from this. Thank goodness because I have no idea how to solve it, even with the homophone/paint/etc.

Just got it from Mundane's comment, too - but absolutely no idea how to solve. Thanks, though.
