Little help on the HC? I think I got most of them, but 1-down has me frustrated. I don't know all of the people, and I think I have 1-across (I hope I have 1 across, or the rest of the puzzle falls apart)

I have no idea how salty this is so... yeah.
Spoiler (click to reveal)
Jesus was a Carpenter
?? was a ??
Tom Hanks is an Actor
Don Adamns(??) is an Actor
?? is a famous fisher-cooker-woman!
Jiminy Cricket is an Actor (I guess..)

So, going off of the ones I know, it looks like all but JC are probably actors. Carpenter does not fit in the spaces, but Actor does. Was Jesus an actor? I tried it and, though it fit my needs for 1-across, it doesn't solve the puzzle...

Again the above may or may not be salty... or misleading. I've got no idea yet.

I'm feeling particulary dense (yes more than usual) tonight.

Any nudge on the Warm Up?
I've been blankly staring, and nothing is coming to mind except jury, juries and court - none of which work.
Can't think of any judging that uses 48 people...

Spoiler (click to reveal)
You're on the right track. 48 people makes a specific number of groups of angry men (as shown in the image). The rest is sounding it out (and trying the singular form when the plural that should work, doesn't).

Me too slow.
