but I'm getting nowhere fast ZOOM! edit bah! gnite
You have a lot wrong there...
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal): The movie is the actual name of the movie It's not a dress It's not leg or pants, the arrow is pointing to what you need. I kinda guessed on the album one but it looks like it's actually the performers name. Don't use Backpack as one word, split it up and use the second part for the next picture.
Hope that helps a little.

Little salt for the hard one would nice too!

SALT SINCE NO ONE ELSE WILL:
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal): I have essentially ripped off a particular category of puzzle from Wheel of Fortune for this one. The category has an ampersand in it.

Myself and the person sitting next to me waited to help for an hour after we solved it and no one even responded. I am just checking back now. Can't hang out her all night.

I guess we were all trying to figure it out.
I think I got the theme based on robrizob's salt, but it isn't helping.

SALTY
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal): Take the words on the left and forget about the first half of the compound words... Take the words on the right and forget about the last half of the compound words...
ie... hindbrain becomes brain and weightlift becomes weight.
Now figure out which word links brain and weight.
like CLOTHES and ON might be IRON...

Then the last is probably wrong.
