Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
wiaoh or wiaph (depending on that one borderline time). Neither of which anagram to anything I can find. Am I simply ludicrously off in one of my times?

Try Googling for a list to help determine the borderline cases. Guess I got lucky and got the right times to start

Thanks, I got my answers the old fashioned way, by actually picking up a clock and determining the numbers...
(BTW - those DON'T match the wiki list)

Here's salt for those still frustrated
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
you have to anagram to get the final result

Its amazing that there is a wiki answer with the same list I came up with. I used a pocket calculator and geometry to make the puzzle. Solving it would be easier with Excel.

Any hints for the Hypercross - I am missing the 2 shoes on the map and the 4 hams ones. Maybe not brands I am familiar with or maybe I am just a little dense in the weekends. (probably due to the theme!)

As I suspected I haven't heard of either of these. I got the porky one but still have no clue to the "OLDXXXXXXXX" one. US geography is not my long suit.

Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
You're looking for something else associated with the composer's name (though not with the composer).

I understand the clues but solved it by guessing.

Can someone GM me to tell me why

Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
the Wiki keyboard gave me VCH as the first word?

Did I use the wrong one? Or use it incorrectly? Or not enough?

Can anyone salt me on the hypercross? I have a vague idea what's going on but can't really make heads or tails of it. Either salt here or GMs would be appreciated!

EDIT::

Never mind...right after posting that, we got it.

I cant believe that made it through the screening process...

Okay... I'm on the 10/17 Hypercross Puzzle...

I'm so lost, it's not even funny. Here's what I have...

Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
lube - e = lub + "noleftturn" - ght
what's up w/ THAT?
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
confederate flag - bell
I read on the comments that it's a stretch, so no clue here either
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
core - e = cor + (states? us?)

Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
dew - w = e
definitely not enough letters
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
cavemen - cave = men + die - e = mendi

Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
desk - k = des
Read that it was obscure, so I was thinking
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
secretary desk?

Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
apple - e = appl + eye = appleye? apply?

Anybody have any salt on how to fill in the blanks here? I don't understand this "Magic Word" people keep talking about.

I've been frustrated since last night and I can't make any progress here. Please help. Thx.

Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
now don't forget about the clues coming from the middle of other clues - each box must be filled in to complete the puzzle

OMG, that was obnoxious... I didn't even see the overlapping area clues. =-/

At first I thought you were belittling me w/ the "CANT be any clearer".

LOL

Thank you much! =-]
