ok, i now have an idea about the VC, nothing about W&B, and no idea what to apply to the bottom.

Spoiler (click to reveal)
You apply W&B to V&C. Then you squint.

Do NOT take a dip ... instead, paint the wall in bands of alternating color.

Re: White and Black

Solve this puzzle with a black pencil on white paper. Apply to VC.

I get the VC, but can't figure out how painting all of either one either color could possibly reveal a word. Dang, Im dense tonight!

Snoozefest, that solution fer vertically narrow has a problem with the last letter, although if the answer is not all capitals it would work. Did you get something reasonable for Hooter?

That's what's confusing me. You can't make a word out of all Vs or all Cs and alternating makes nothing either!!

I don't think that is it, Snooze, for vertically narrow, since the last letter doesn't work. I have solved the puzzle by guessing, but I still can't figure out what fits there. Anybody who has solved it correctly want to let me know what vertically narrow is so I can sleep tonight?

I believe that the third line works like this:

Spoiler (click to reveal)
UNDER DRESS = 4 letters (garment worn under a dress)

VERTICALLY NARROW = 5 letters (vertically challenged)

HOOTER = 3 letters (middle of hurricane)

Problems with these answers:

1. Hooter answer is silly, but I think it's right.
2. The widths of the first two don't match their clues.

But these first two answers are good answers to the clues, in my opinion, and the letters work with the final solution.

Spoiler for the third row words, for what it's worth:

Spoiler (click to reveal)
I was very confident the last two words were skinny and owl, but they do not work in the puzzle. Words that do work, but do not really make any sense from the clues would be strand or string, and eye. I assume the first clue in that row is bra, although the clue there is pretty lame too.

Anyone got better suggestions.

Don't try to make a word with them. Once you know which is which you can just
Spoiler (click to reveal)

replace them with Vs or Cs and then apply the White and Black to those

Just paint them and then take a couple steps back. Or squint.

[o]I would agree if the clue were "narrow pieces." The fact that it is VERTICALLY narrow means it's small up and down. The answer suggested here could just as easily be HORIZONTALLY narrow. So I don't think it works.

Okay, I'm lost, tired, and confused. While that's pretty normal for me, I'm not usually trying to figure out a Tanga puzzle in the process! I've got all the words (I think). I understand the VC part. The white and black portion is losing me, especially how you integrate that in with the clue answers. Does the capitalization of the clues have anything to do with anything?! HELP!!!

Honestly, this one wasn't worth it. Aaron must have had an off day. The "VC" clue was extremely vague and you had to resort to trial and error of theories that could have been way off base. The combo of mechanisms he used for the grid were also less *tight* than they needed to be.

Didn't much like this one.

Ok, finally got it. Man am I stupid. I almost did that over and hour ago but didn't because I was looking for a word but couldn't figure out how to do it without either all Vs or all Cs. Thanks for all the hints and hits over the head.

New to the forum and just wondering, but how do you add a spoiler box? Is there a faq or something that I should read?

Pretty big hint:
Spoiler (click to reveal)
1. Make a grid. Put the letters in the grid. Grab a black crayon (B) and a bottle of white out (W).
2. V & C = W & B.

Jon, when you click reply, there's a formatting section above where you type your message. Click on the "spoiler" one, and the codes will appear in where you are typing your message. Then just type whatever you want to spoil inbetween the two codes.
