For the hard: Salty:
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
Tee off at one of the spots, and then follow the ball's path to the hole. You'll get some words; google them, but remember that the puzzle author might have had to substitute an uncommon word to fit, so drop that one (but remember it when you're trying to pick what to use.)
Saltier:
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
go to IMDb and look for the proper noun.
Bucket o' salty trivia:
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
The guy did his own stunts. Impressive at his age!

I did today's hypercross. I have it all filled in (did that twice just in case) but it still says wrong.
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
The only ones I suspect as maybe wrong are Pee and Gee
Any help with Hypercross.

Neither of these words is wrong. Maybe you have a typo somewhere?

What do you have for the 3-letter down Q?

Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
You should have a proper noun in your "nonsense" phrase. Google it. Add the name of the sport if you need help.
I posted more salt above.

thanks morganza - the phrase wasn't nonsense to me at all and I got it immediately once I had the right path; no googling necessary. Like I said, I'm an idiot. Can't believe it took me so long 'cause I'm not half bad at miniature golf.

Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
I don't recognize anything that I have as a proper noun. Neither does Google. Perhaps I have the phrase wrong. What I have is "AIP GAME SHOW FOE" I have tried rearranging the gaps between the letters to see if other groupings result in different words, but to no avail. Am I starting from the wrong point? I see only one way to get a hole in one.

Remember that you need to start from one of the highlighted tee-off spots. How else could you reach those words?

Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
When I first looked at the puzzle last night, my original starting square WAS one of the ones highlighted. The maker has since done away with the ambiguity, and I see now where it's really supposed to start.
Thanks for the help.

It's not belt.
It's

loose.
Also the first one should rhyme with

mine.
Finally,
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
just say it all out loud.
Hope that helps,
Dustin

Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
I've got what I think are Tanga numbers (the category level of each hurricane), but when applied to the original names (rapiee) or the alphabet, the numbers give garbage.
