I just got my copy of Hollywood Blockbuster from TANGA.

In the rules it says the bottom space of each screenplay is for a Guest Star. But THE CYBERTRICKS screenplay does not have a space for a Guest Star. Is this correct? or should CYBERTRICKS have another Guest Star space?

I seem to recall a screenplay in the original T-Fab that didn't have a guest star spot. It's probably correct.

Taj Mahal, anyone? (I didn't drive all the way down here to play Keltis. I mean, really.)

No, all the 22 Traumfabrik screenplays have one guest star spot.

THE CYBERTRICKS is shown as a Adventure screen play (from the 7 that do not belong to one of the 5 studios at the start): 4 stars, director, 2 music and a main actor. But the main actor is at the bottom (out of normal sequence). So maybe the main actor is actually supposed to be a Guest Star. Doing that would make it match FROM HERE TO ETERNITY from the original game.

I was playing this last night and noticed the same thing. I remembered reading the in the rules that every screenplay has a guest star, but thought I must have been mistaken. Now I'm thinking it's probably a misprint. That's a little unfortunate. I wonder if Uberplay will fix it and ship correct parts to people who have the game.

I can't imagine a company doing that. There are errata and misprints in lots of games and it's just a little problem. I guess we just put a little star on the box so that we can know it's supposed to be a guest star and not a main actor.

Once you know about it it's a simple matter to point it out when the Cybertricks film comes up. As it is consistant with every other film in that respect it's easy for everyone to remember once it is pointed out.

Since folks are wondering, I emailed Uberplay about this issue.

Jeremy Young responded:

Hi Ted - it looks like our Chinese printer screwed up on this. We are looking at possible ways to rectify it but it most likely won't happen until after the new year. We'll post something to our site soon.

They didn't respond to my e-mail. :( Oh well, as MMM pointed out, it was easy enough to rectify once identified.

Well it's well into next year (above was posted Nov 2006), and I couldn't find anything on the Uberplay website :(

Someone did make a PDF paste up for it though, see http://www.boardgamegeek.com/file/info/21087

This is why I love the Geek. I plan to play my copy of HB for the first time over the holidays, and I would never have noticed this problem if not for my fellow geeks. I printed the paste up and it looks great on the card. Thanks, guys!
