All games that have a single winner are effectively elimination games. The only question is how close the elimination is perceived to be to the end of the game.

That little video is getting really annoying.

If this website is a hoax, it's a very convincing one. If it's not a hoax, then I'm skeptical, but very very concerned...

Their product line:
* Christmas Tree
* Industrial Grade Oven Gloves
* "Family" board game involving fire and explosives...!

At the bottom of their 'Human' section it says this:

Quote:
At weekend balls, leaders and employees enjoy together, there is full of cheerful chatting and laughing during singing and dancing. The festival evenings, " New Year's Day", "May 4th" and "National Day", etc., the employees spend many unforgettable nights with the infinite happiness.

That's bad enough to be real, IMO.

Bavaria is a Dutch beer brand. Perhaps this is part of their marketing campaign in Asia? Though it has a *ahem* different feel compared to the rest of their campaign...

Heh, German games make the losers sit through their humiliation to the very end, that's why I like them. Oh, you're 50 VPs behind and have no hope of winning? You're not walking away. You're going to sit right there for the next hour going through the motions and watching me win. :D

That's why I like games like Carcassonne or TTR, that have a hidden scoring component. In German we have a saying that goes "Wer zuletzt lacht, lacht am besten." (Who laughs last, laughs best.) If I had GG for all those times where a surefire winner had to admit defeat in the end, I'd have an avatar by now! ;)
