What? No 100+ posts of people claiming that they'll stop supporting BGG because there's a contest that they can't participate in?
This is an outrage!

The reason for the initial list of countries was that they are the countries in the EU, and the ones I currently sell to. Norway was an exception as it is Sweden's neighbour and I didn't want to cause a diplomatic incident by leaving them out
I see no reason why people from other European countries can't be allowed to participate for the game giveaway as well, though they won't be eligible for the 5% discount on an order if they live in a country I don't ship to.
Aldie, sorry for the confusion, I will geekmail you about this.

Thanks, this is kind of you. Source of confusion: Europe is a geographical term, while EU is political, and yes, Switzerland is not part of EU.

Last time I checked, åland was still part of the EU. I'm starting to doubt whether Gotland should be included...

Norrmeister wrote: Last time I checked, åland was still part of the EU. I'm starting to doubt whether Gotland should be included... I did a little bit of googling - seems Åland is not part of the EU tax union, and thus not covered by EU VAT laws - which is the part that is relevant for selling goods to them.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_member_state_territorie... has a list of special territories in EU countries - many of them are not actually in Europe. (Lots of places I have no clue where they are, as well).
As can be seen on that page, Sweden has no weird territories with partial EU laws or such.
