first thing: should we leave the entry fee at 1GG or up the ante to 5GG?

I'd be up for 5 GGs. I don't want folks who may be short on GG cash to be forced to up the ante though...

I put him at the top of my list hoping I'd get him but had no idea I'd be first overall. Well, I took a guy from my team over being a good fantasy player

I did the same thing here - took players I like over the ones I probably should have taken for their stats

But I have fun! Like I said in a werewolf game recently my handle is vandemonium which is mashup of pandemonium and my last name for a reason... I tend to be chaos incarnate

I like how we did it in the EPL league 1 gg entry fee with suggested 5 by the end of the season. That way anyone who doesn't have enough GG can take some pictures or mod mod mod for GG (or in my case - a kind fellow BGGer hit me up with some GG )

It was quite funny to see. You were randomly given the #1 pick, so someone says, "I guess Vandemonium's getting Crosby, eh?"

I think I played favourites a bit too much, too. Eight of my twenty-five players are Oilers. Most of them were drafted fairly low, though, so I think I still got good value out of my picks. We'll see.

I agree with the "5 GG by the end of the season" plan.

OK its a plan... 5GG is the entry fee and it should be in by the end of the season. I hope this is not going to be too confusing for me to keep track of.. I have a good amount of GG transactions.

Anyways - for some reason, I couldn't chat during the entire draft. It's too bad... there was so much I wanted to say! haha

I'm the one that made the comment about Crosby. Figured for sure he'd go #1. I'm also guilty of playing the homer role. No secret by my avatar who I root for so I went for quite a few of the Wings. Got Lidstrom and Zetterburg so I was happy about that. The rest was a total crap shoot and I really have no idea if I drafted at all well.

Anyway, I'm one of those that'll need to raise/beg the necessary GG for the 5GG entry fee. I have 1GG now so a few reviews or gifts would put me where I need to be. Looking forward to the games to come, thanks Mike for setting it up.

I didn't even show up for the draft and my Goldenboats wound up with Sid the Kid, so color me surprised.

I also have no trouble with going to 5 GG, now or later, just let me know who to pay and when.

ya I heard about that... speaking of freak accidents, did anyone see the Philly-Ottawa game yesterday? Downie destroyed McAmmond with a cheap hit... looked so sick...

I didn't get to see it, but I did happen to be listening to that game on satellite radio. The Ottawa announcers were calling for a long suspension for Downey, which unfortunately looks like it won't happen.

Read today that he got 20 games. Think they said it was the third longest in league history. I'd say he desereved more. Sheesh, if you got to rail someone like that in pre-season it shows a total lack of respect for your fellow athlete. Someone's gonna end up paralyzed one of these days from a cheap shot.
