I ran into this at Starbucks and Target--it's standard Cranium with some (minor) graphic design updates (most notably some super-sweet Baseman people-pawns with removable hats and hairdos) and a couple of new activities:
TEAM GNILLEPS Backwards spelling where team members must each, in turn, supply the next letter of the word out loud.
MINDMELD Team members are given a topic and must each write down three words that come to mind. The team wins if at least two members match a single word.
SIDESHOW A 'puppeteer' tries to get the rest of the team to guess a topic by moving the arms and legs of a 'puppet' team member.
ODD COUPLE Given a list of items, team members must pick the two things that do not belong on the list.
Oh, and 600 brand new cards.

Hmmmm, that actually sounds like fun. Regular Cranium isn't too bad, it just drags. This game probably suffers from the same fate.

Definitely a YMMV game--for us it's the standard three-couples game, men vs. women. We wore out a standard version and both booster packs. This one's already hit the table three weekends in a row. Never fails to satisfy as we're all a bunch of competitive, hammy show-offs. You know it's good when someone has to go lie down because their face & tummy hurt from laughing.

Cranium rocks! But only at the right time with the right people...mind you, you could say that about lots of games.

Am I the only one who said "No...." and clicked, thinking it would be a World of Warcraft themed Cranium game?

Hah I'll admit I was very intrigued about the possibility of trying to spell Archimonde or sculpt a murloc.
