Erm ... ahem .... Here goes: "Come to Shire Games! If you've never been before, now is the perfect time to come along, as we've just moved to a huge new shop in Stoke-on-Trent! Come along, stay a while and play some games! "

This might shed some light on it:
(WHOIS snipped)
Now yesterday it was down for hours and it was like this but then it came back (although I don't know what the whois looked like when it was back). Now its locked again.
Who forgot to pay the bill?
EDIT: Status Locked doesn't mean what I thought it meant.

I thought locked just meant the domain is locked to the current registrar and can't be transferred. A reasonable choice to prevent cyber-squatters from transferring the domain name a few seconds after expiration.
Speaking of which - you asked who forgot to pay the bill. Bill isn't due for another year and a half (May 2009).

Correct, locked simply means someone can't hijack your domain name by transfering it to another registrar.
Sometimes SBW's nameserver gets wedged and simply needs to be restarted. Sometimes it's the whole server.

Yep that was 12 Power Grid maps back to back over two days. Worth doing, but possibly not in such a concentrated burst.
Ooh yes, now a little to the left - my nose is itchy. No, no the other left! Now what colour is 12 supporter badge going to be I wonder?

It's down for me too, I hadn't had an email since yesterday so I thought I would check to see if I had missed any.

Has anyone sent a message to any of the admins? I would, but I don't want to inundate them with a tidal wave of messages.

I broke it. I was able to take 4 moves in a Hacienda game. Didn't realize until I finished my turn. I asked what was going on in the forums, but the site was down before I saw any replies.

I am trying to get in touch with Mikael to see if I can get this sorted. I haven't been able to catch him online in the last 24 hours though. I have messages into him.

I am not quite sure what I should be doing at work now w/o spielbyweb...it is pretty much the only thing that gets me through the day.

Sorry!
For some reason the firewall decided to reset itself and block access to the nameserver. So the site was up and running, but www.spielbyweb.com wasn't being translated into 69.65.96.117, blocking access.
Back up and running now -- hopefully it'll stay that way.
Don't worry about inundating me with messages -- send an email if you can't get at it. I didn't notice it until getting Ryan's message a few minutes ago (I've been hiding from IM for the last couple days trying to be productive).
(and yes, the "locked" status just protects against someone from hijacking the domain name -- I'm at the very least good about keeping the bills paid)

Interesting...it's still not working, even if I directly use the IP adress.
But I can ping 69.65.96.117
