In my opinion, one of the top 10 funniest sitcom episodes of any program has to be the turkey drop promotion for WKRP. It was on last night and I haven't seen it in years. I laughed so frickin hard.
A true classic!

I always thought Jan Smithers was 100 times hotter than Loni Anderson. Didn't know she was in a car accident. Hope she's okay.

This epic duel is no match to the Joyce DeWitt / ditzy blonde conflict that came a few years later in Three's Company. Joyce DeWitt rocks. She smacked down three, count 'em: three! Chrissy, Cindy, and Terry. They just couldn't compete with Janet Wood.
I've got sheep for Janet Wood (if you know what I'm saying... and I think you do).

Of course, wild turkeys can fly. I see 'em all the time 'round here. But the kind of turkeys they raise to be your "dish o' the day" on Thanksgiving . . . big, dumb, stoopid turkeys.
EDIT: And tasty.

Sad indeed. Testament to her troubles is that she was in CA: Jan's been living in atlantic Canada for like, 20 years.
Anybody got a link where we can send our well-wishes?
OP: WKRP is simply the funniest american comedy ever. I think much of its success can be traced to its core: it's a stage play in which timing matters more than anything. So few comedies since have had the same dedication to stage comedy. In fact, I can only think of 3: -The Bob Newhart Show -Newhart -Seinfeld

So they have a news story about a naked 58-year-old Jan Smithers (58? how did that happen?) being hit by a truck, and they post a picture of James Brolin, whose only tie to the story is that they got divorced a dozen years ago? That's the best they can do?
I, too, was smitten with Jan Smithers many years ago. I'm sorry to hear about the accident and her other problems.
But back to the main topic: that definitely was one of the funniest episodes of any shows.
