Amazon has further lowered SotM and has re-dropped Marvel to its prior low price. Both are eligible for free super saver shipping. Yes, I finally caved and bought them even though I have no idea who I'll play them with since my kids are too young.

Just when I decide that, no I'll wait on picking up the set, amazon has to go and muck it all up.

Don't forget the $5 gift card/rebate with purchase of SotM.
It used to be on the Amazon site, I'm sure the PDF is available somewhere (I have a copy) - the dates are still valid.
This makes SotM $10.99 after gift card and eligible for free shipping. That finally makes SotM worth getting.

I would like to get a copy of that coupon as well. I just ordered one of every item on sale... I got SotM/3 mini-packs/marvel all for fifty bucks. I can't wait to play it, now I just need the first Master Set. I have been waiting for a good deal to get me into Heroscape.
BTW, this is my first post on BGG. Hello...

2 sets of SotM and 1 set of Marvel... plus three expansion packs... the price was too good to resist! Hubby and I will love these as much as the kids will.

In 10-15 years this game will be as sought after as Heroquest and Warhammer Quest for the bits alone. I mean the minis *alone* are worth the $16, and just like the terrain, can be used in countless other games.
Thanks for the heads up!

I'll second a request for the rebate form; all the Hasbro rebates I can find are for the younger games (Don't Break the Ice, etc).

For the rebate coupon, try your friendly local Toys R Us, if you have one in your area. It's where I'm snagging mine today, as I know they have plenty at the one in my area.

They won't ship to Canada.

Anybody from the US interested in a trade? 2xMarro Heroscape and 2xMarvel Heroscape in return for one of my MISB Formula De tracks?
Formula Dé Circuits 5 & 6 - Kyalami & Ferrari Autodromo
Formula Dé Circuits 31 & 32 - Zhuhai & Sepang
I can throw in some of my trade goods too!

Wow, Marvel Heroscape is almost cheaper than the boosters...and the starter set is cheaper than the boxed expansions! Will the wonders of the free market never cease!

There's a link on that page that will take you to a pdf of the rebate form. I haven't yet read the terms to figure out if it works with purchases from Amazon.

So I'm a Heroscape Newb and thinking about picking some up since it's such a great deal.
Since those expansion sets are such a bargain too, I'm thinking about getting some of thsoe as well. Can you play with more than one set at a time? IOW, could I use two Zombie Hordes at the same time?
I think that'll cover the newb questions for right now

You can use multiples of the "common" units, and in fact, it's often advantageous to use multiples to get their fullest potential. Welcome to the game!!!

Hehe. Thanks Robert. I think!
I went ahead and ordered two sets of everything. I figured worst case I could sell/trade one set if I need to.

In addition, if you sign up for the Amazon.com credit card, you get $30 back on your first purchase, which is like buying 1 SotM set and getting 2 free.

Thanks yep - that TrU page has a copy of it (I don;t know why Amazon took it off their pages - it's still valid)
Herte's a direct link to the pdf - http://trus.imageg.net/graphics/coupon/r2931537_rebatecoupon...
It should be OK for all purchases, since it doesn;t say just TrU, and this same pdf was on Amazon;s site last month or so (when RotV was on sale for $20, with the $5 rebate)

So, can anyone recommend any specifics from this sale regarding a good number of sets for my boys and I to start with? Would 1 of Marro plus each of the boosters be "enough", or would it be more advantageous of multiples of one specific booster as opposed to one of each?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike!
. I'd say a good start would be 1 each of the Marro and Marvel sets, plus the 2 boosters on sale for 7.50. But to be honest, I value the terrain more than the figures, as there are a multitude of custom units available on the net for just about any figure you can imagine... from Star Wars to Trogdor the Burninator, and literally everything in between.
There's even a site that lets you create your own units, and print out the cards....hmmm lemme find it.... (you'll have to copy and paste this addy in your address bar as I cant get it to show as a link properly, sorry)
http://mkgray.com:8000/cgi-bin/heroscapeunit
There are tons of other resources on the web as well, but my point is you can make and/or download all the custom units you want. The terrain however, you have to buy, and this is a steal at this price. Heck just buy multiples of the master sets and paint them to whatever terrain color you'd like I do. Want more water tiles? paint those swamps!, want ice?, a can of white spray paint and clearcoat from Wal Mart and you've got all the ice you want.....errr.... you get the idea.
