Time to start Picking again...
With a good response to the first and second Pick-A-Number contests, I thought we'd do one more before Christmas. But this time, I'm going to change the "game" rules to add a little more interest. Would you like to win a signed copy of Pick & Pack? Then read on...

Have fun trying to out-guess your fellow geeksThe Choices
(1) Red or Blue? What color do you want to play?
(2) Premium or Wholesale? Do you increase your own score, or decrease your opponent's score?
(3) Apple or Action? Do you pick apples, or play an action?
(4) Odd or Even? Do you prefer an odd number or and even number of apples in your tray?
(5) Box Cover or Box Bottom? Do you prefer the box cover or the box bottom?
(6) Online or Face-to-Face? Pick a style of play.
(7) Convention or Game Group? Where do you like to play games?
The Elimination Process
The winner will be selected using the following process...
For the first round, entries will be divided into two groups: Red and Blue. All the entries in the larger of the two groups will be eliminated. All the entries in the smaller of the two groups will move on to the second round.
The second round will divide the remaining entries into another two groups: Premium and Wholesale. Again, the larger of the groups will be eliminated.
This process will be repeated as necessary. Each time, the larger of the two groups will be eliminated.
In the event that two groups are tied, I will invoke "Aldie's Choice" (which he sent to me in an email before this contest was published) to eliminate one of the two groups.
In the event that the smaller group contains 0 (zero) entries, (i.e. everyone is in the larger group), everyone will progress to the next round.
In the event that the smaller group contains exactly 1 (one) entry, that entry will be declared the winner.
In the event that more than one entry makes it through to the end of round 7, we will hold a Tie-Breaker to produce a single winner. As a consolation prize, some -- as yet undisclosed -- amount of geek gold will be distributed amongst the non-winners (including all
tips to this thread).The Results
