UPDATE: BGG.CON 2008 is full - we are on a waiting list now. We are trying to get more space in the hotel - will update when we know more.
Announcing BGG.CON 2008! Bigger and better than ever!
November 20-23rd, 2008 - Dallas, Texas (actually Irving - which is right outside of Dallas) at the Westin DFW.
$60 for early bird registration (before May 31st) $80 after May 31st.
Rooms are $110 (+tax) per night.
The Westin DFW has recently completed a $26 million renovation and is very very nice.
For the convention we have a 10,000 square foot ballroom for gaming goodness. Dedicated vendor space is 3500 square feet in size, right in the main ballroom. The library will be bigger than ever. We'll have new Essen releases and a bunch of other special events. We've added 2 more gaming rooms (to bring our total gaming space up to 23,540 square feet).
Attendees received 10% Discount in hotel restaurant.
Register here: www.boardgamegeek.com/bggcon.php
Note: We are limited in space by the number of rooms at the hotel - PLEASE reserve your hotel room early - you know how quickly we sold out last year. Don't miss this! I can't emphasize this enough - I just experienced a sold out hotel at a different convention... get the peace of mind that your room is reserved.

edit: ignore the question... add 13% for taxes (6% for State, 7% for City) so it comes to $124.30 a night.

Too bad there wasn't a more economical option for those of us who don't like to share a room Ie. something tiny is fine as long as it still has a bed, a sink, toilet, and a shower. Don't even need a TV

That is still an awesome rate considering what it is normally.

My wife and I will be there again this year. We had a blast and the first thing she said when we got home last year was "we're going again."

Yep that was 12 Power Grid maps back to back over two days. Worth doing, but possibly not in such a concentrated burst.
Ooh yes, now a little to the left - my nose is itchy. No, no the other left! Now what colour is 12 supporter badge going to be I wonder?

The house had better fetch a good price so I can actually afford this
